What determines my interest rate and overall credit worthiness?

Anthem utilizes the information you provide and third party credit reports to understand your credit picture. When processing an application, we typically start with a “soft” credit report if a personal credit report is needed. A "soft" credit report does not impact your credit, nor does it appear as a credit inquiry and should not impact an applicant’s credit score. Once prequalified, the application is then processed, which may include a standard credit report. This customer-centric approach, we feel, is most beneficial to our prospective customer. Time in business, credit picture, comparable loan/lease references, and bank balances are significant contributing factors.

What are the benefits of financing?

Financing is the easiest way to purchase equipment and boost your cash flow. It allows you to finance at low rates with minimal or no upfront cash - Not to mention tax benefits and up to 100% financing to cover soft costs, such as freight, tooling, accessory equipment and more.

What can I finance with Anthem?

What information will I need to provide on the credit application?

The application requests information on your business, owners, banking, previous loan/lease history, and details on what you’ll be financing. Depending on the loan size and your application, we may request financial information. Generally, we may only request a credit application for equipment financing applications up to $500,000 for qualified businesses.

What happens after I get approved?

You’ll hear back from us in as little as one day on the status of your application. Once approved and documents are signed, we’ll fund you as early as the same day after receipt of the documents requested.

How long is the approval process?

The approval process varies by customer and transaction size based on information provided. An answer can be received in as little as a day after Anthem receives the information requested.

Do you require a down payment?

Each application is unique. You may qualify for no payments due upfront.

What terms are available? How long can I finance or lease equipment?

We typically offer financing for amounts ranging from $25,000 to $5 million and up with terms ranging from 24 to 84 months. As always, we’re flexible and will tailor terms to your needs.

Will I need to insure my financed equipment?

Anthem will require that financed equipment is insured - In the event the equipment is damaged or stolen, insurance coverage should help protect your investment in that asset. Please ask your insurance agent directly. If you do not have insurance, Anthem can help you obtain very cost effective insurance for the equipment you are financing. That insurance is cancelable if you later want to replace it with more comprehensive business insurance.

What costs can I include in a finance agreement or lease? Can I include soft costs and services?

In addition to the equipment cost, you may include soft costs, such as software, freight, installation, tooling, accessory items, training, sales tax, etc.

Does leasing offer different tax benefits than a loan?

A $1 buyout lease typically offers the tax benefits of purchase. Generally, a business can deduct the lease payments only for a given fiscal year if the purchase option is more than nominal. We will gladly structure a finance or lease program tailored to your business and tax requirements. We strongly encourage you to consult with your tax advisor to determine the applicability to your specific tax and business situation.

How is an Equipment Finance Agreement and Lease different?

An Equipment Finance Agreement is a loan. A lease differs depending primarily upon the end-of-lease purchase option. If the end-of-lease option is $1.00, the borrower typically enjoys the same benefits as a loan or out-right purchase. A lease with a higher purchase option offers different benefits, including a lower monthly payment. Please contact Anthem Capital and your tax advisor for more information.

Do you accommodate progress payments if it is required by an Equipment Supplier?

For qualified Equipment Suppliers, we can advance all or part of the equipment cost prior to shipment. Each situation is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
