When processing an application, we typically start with a “soft” credit report if a personal credit report is needed. A "soft" credit report does not impact your credit, nor does it appear as a credit inquiry and should not impact an applicant’s credit score. Once prequalified, the application is then processed, which may include a standard credit report. This customer-centric approach, we feel, is most beneficial to our prospective customer. Time in business, credit picture, comparable loan/lease references, and bank balances are significant contributing factors.
